POLP At Maryland Science Center

I love my POLP family! We are so lucky to live close enough to some of each other to do these get togethers! I only wish that we all lived this close!

Group shot attempt! Someone is bound to have a better one... my camera wasn't coping well with all the sunlight pouring in. It was a gorgeous day!

This past weekend was a blast! We had so much fun at the Maryland Science Center despite Sonya's numerous sensory meltdowns. Here she is upon arrival. She did not want to see the full scale dinosaur skeletons! They were scary!

Wheeling away as fast as her little arms could push!

Simon thought they were super cool!

I can imagine him telling her here "It's ok, I'll protect you!" and I can see her saying "Yep, you're my knight in shining armour!"

"Aww!!! This one is little like me mommy!!! I like him!!!"

My future paleontologist!

Look Zoe! I'm totally touching this dinosaur head!

Sonya met a new girlfriend! Ivy is such a sweetheart!!!

These whisper dishes were cool! Whisper into the center of one and on the other side of the room where someone else sits by the second whisper dish they will hear you! everyone else in the room will remain oblivious to your conversation!

Sonya did not want to leave this giant double sided push pin board!

Nathan goes for the door while Sonya gets the mail!

Fun with tennis balls!

Pneumatic messaging! Like the kind of tubes they have at the drive thru bank!

"Hey that's me!"

Preston, Sonya and Jaxson enjoy mission control!

Aww! I love this picture of Jaxson in the under sea scape!

Simon and Sonya working together!

My Akela the fisherman! She went for the coat immediately of course!

Simon is trying his best to catch some too! Those magnetic fish are really far back though!

Sonya couldn't ever pass up these Thomas trains!

Simon liked playing with this cool pattern construction set!

Oh the water table... how could we ever forget! Sonya would have been content to play here all day and night!

The older girls tried to fix a leak!

Preston and Parker checking out the computer games!

The girls found this Neptune with it's inner swirling colors fascinating!

The planetarium show was fun! Sonya thought that Elmo was talking to her personally and kept on saying "Hi Elmo! What are you doing here? Will you come play with me?"

Simon and Sonya step into the Twilight Zone!

I pick mine and I'll help pick yours!

Dino's below!

Preston is such a sweetheart! He was quite the gentleman helping to push Sonya's wheelchair!

Simon created a beautiful picture to give to his sweetie! What a wonderful boyfriend! Always thinking of his gal!

I love this picture! Our two little love birds!

We then went up to see the huge telescope on the roof! The kids had a chance to look at the sun through it! Very cool!

Jaxson and Simon thought it was super!

Sonya wanted to show Simon her walking with support skills that are improving everyday!

Time to head on out! Jaxson and Sonya look pretty sleepy!

I'm so glad we all had a fantastic time together! Thanks to all who put up with Sonya's foul mood and multiple meltdowns! Hopefully we will get through this stage soon! Thank you to Jenn and Kim for organizing this super fun event!!!
