Sonya's vocabulary has been bursting lately! She has really been concentrating and perfecting many words, probably due to her current immobility. She has mainly been saying just single words, but just the other day she combined two words for the first time! I can't believe I totally caught it on tape too! In the middle of this video she suddenly exclaims "Where's daddy?!" with no prompting from me or her sister Zoe! Be sure to pause the music player down at the bottom of the screen so that you can hear all of her words! Her new favorite toy to play with is the kazoo! She also likes playing with her sister's big plastic slinky! We are always on the look out for simple, lightweight, inexpensive toys that Sonya can easily hold and play with while laying in her spica cast. If anyone has some suggestions, we are all ears! Enjoy the video!

Love that she's asking for Daddy - now you can train her to ask for him so you get a break! :o) And, I must be really tired this morning, because I so cannot find the video of Sonya... um, maybe some more coffee is needed!
Glad to hear she's still doing well and enjoying big sister's toys, we've had to outlaw slinkies because they turn into weapons at our house!
How cute! I have to say that I am in awe of Sonya and you as her Mom. I was just reading some of your posts on the OI parents list and I can't imagine Ethan being mis-diagnosed for a year. I think you are awesome though because once you found out you immediately kicked yourself into gear and started getting things done. I love reading your posts and you have given us so many ideas as far as the break box and the things you made to help Sonya (anti-frogging seat, etc). I can't wait to see what Sonya accomplishes after she starts PAM. It is making Ethan stronger so I am true believer. Keep up the good fight Momma!
No problem. Glad you check my blog out when you had chance. My youngest daughter keep me on my toes too ~ she's an aggressive baby. LOL Don't you love having all 3 girls & no boys? Feel sorry for our men. LOL ~ Dawn ~
Love it - cute as ever!! Way to go, Sonya - so impressed! She is talking so well! Simon loved watching Sonya play the kazoo - thought she was just hilarious! We're looking forward to seeing you guys in a few weeks!
So glad to hear about Sonya's speech accomplishment. I didn't see any video though. Sonya just constantly amazes me!
I heart the video! Sonya is so smart, and her mind is definitely going a million miles a second with the physical immobility!
